These general terms and conditions (the ”General Conditions”) apply when you as a consumer (the ”Customer”) place an order via www.madebygotland.com and related pages, (the ”Website”).  The agreement is concluded between you and MADE BY GOTLAND AB, organisation number 559154-1254 (”Made by Gotland”).

Business Policy

Made by Gotland offers products for sale on madebygotland.com and its e-commerce business services exclusively to its end users, i.e. “Customers”. “Customer” shall mean any person who is the final customer, or consumer of the goods. Made by Gotland reserves the right to refuse orders of users who are not “Customers” and any other order which does not comply with the Made by Gotland businesspolicy.  These General Terms and Conditions of Sale exclusively regulate the offer, transmission and acceptance of purchase orders relating to products on madebygotland.com between the users of madebygotland.com and Made by Gotland.


To place an order through the Website, the Customer must accept the General Conditions.  By accepting the General Conditions, the Customer undertakes to comply with the General Conditions in its entirety and acknowledge that they had read the information on the personal data and cookies and consents to use according to Made by Gotland Privacy Policy available here.

A purchase agreement is concluded when Made by Gotland has confirmed the Customer’s order and the Customer has received an order confirmation from Made by Gotland via email.  Made by Gotland recommends saving the order confirmation for any future contacts with Made by Gotland Customer Service regarding the order.  The Customer is entitled to cancel their order up until it has been confirmed by Made by Gotland.  If the order is cancelled, Made by Gotland will refund any payments to the Customer that they have made with regard to this order.

To purchase at Made by Gotland.com you must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid credit card that we accept.  If you are not 18 years old, you may still purchase if you have obtained your guardian’s consent and/or otherwise have a legal right to enter into a purchase.

Prices, Fees and Payments

The prices stated on the Website apply to orders placed on the Website.  All prices are presented including VAT.  The prices do not include payment and shipping fees, which are given separately in the Checkout.  Prices are subject to change. Check the final price of sale before sending the relevant order form.

Purchase orders from countries not included among those displayed in our Delivery Information section cannot be accepted by MADE BY GOTLAND.

The Customer can pay for their purchase in the manner specified on the Website.

The Customer shall select the items they want to buy and put them in their ”Cart”.  The content of the Cart can be edited right up to the time of order and the prices of the products are highlighted.  Any extra payment such as shipping, tolls or import taxes can be calculated immediately before you are ready to pay.  When you are ready to order, complete your name, address, email, telephone number, payment method, and delivery method.  You can change the contents of the Cart right up until you confirm your purchase by clicking on the button ”Confirm”.  After this your order passes to Made by Gotland and can no longer be changed.

Payments are handled by PayEx with secure encryption and under strict banking standards.  Your card details are sent directly to the bank and cannot be read or accessed by anyone other than your bank.

International Shipping Note

The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country and brokerage fees / custom clearance charges which may be imposed by the carrier. These charges must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. In the event a shipment is refused and returned, any taxes, duties, custom fees, brokerage fees or shipping charges incurred from this return, will be the responsibility of the customer.

Information regarding personal information and credit check

Collection of personal information and a credit check is a prerequisite to enable us to process your application to pay on credit.

At the time of your purchase we will perform a credit check.

Personal information is treated in accordance with applicable legislation. We will deliver the personal information in connection with the purchase to PayEx Sverige AB 621 88 Visby, Sweden and to other PayEx companies that manage personal information in order to perform identification and credit checks, for invoicing and other processing in connection with the debt, as well as gathering of statistics and analytics, improving our processes and developing new products.
The information can also be delivered to sub-contractors, to governmental authorities and to others that have the right to receive the information in accordance with current legislation. The information can also be used for marketing of PayEx products by mail, email or other method, unless not specifically forbidden by the End Customer in written.

Notification of transfer of receivables

The credit is issued by PayEx Sverige AB. The debt will be transferred to PayEx Sverige AB, 556735-5671, St Hansplan 1, 621 88 Visby. Valid payments of the invoice can therefore only be made to PayEx Sverige AB, to the account stipulated on the invoice by PayEx Sverige AB.

Invoice terms

The Customer is obliged to include the following terms on their web site in a clear and visible place in their delivery and payment terms for the End Customer who wishes to pay by Invoice, unless agreed otherwise between PayEx and the Customer:

The invoice will be delivered to your official address registered at the Population Register.

Payment terms

The invoice fee will be: 100 SEK

The invoice has to be paid in full within 14 days since the date of the invoice. If the invoice is paid after the due date, a late payment interest and collection fee will be charged according to the currently applicable legislation.

Cancellation of orders

Made by Gotland may cancel an order if it is not possible to deliver the ordered product.  You will be informed if such a situation arises and any payment or reservation made will be returned/cancelled.

When you order a product from Made by Gotland, you will receive a receipt by email to show your order has been received.  However, you enter into a binding sales contract only when you have received an order confirmation/sales receipt from us.

If for any reason, you are not satisfied with your order, you may exercise your right to return the products, by contacting Made by Gotland Customer Service within 14 working days from the date on which you received the products purchased on madebygotland.com. To cancel the contract and return the products you shall use the return form available from our Customer Services.

Some products do not include a right to cancel, or you may lose your right to cancel.  The following are excluded from the right to cancel: if you customordered the product and in that case makes it impossible for us to sell it to someone else.

We expect you to return the product as soon as possible after you have given cancellation notice and no later than 14 days after you have changed your mind.  The cost you will have to bear is the shipping fee for returning the product which is (200 SEK, 200 NOK, 20 Euro, 20 USD or 20 CAD).

To exercise the right to cancel you must:
·    notify Made by Gotland Customer Support within 14 days of the date you received the parcel
·    include a completed copy of the Made by Gotland Return Form with the products
·    pack the products unused, unwashed, and not damaged in their original packaging, and in no more than one parcel
·    return the complete product to Made by Gotland unless otherwise specified by our Customer Support (eg, multi-pack products must be returned with all items included)
·    we recommend that the products are returned by using the same courier/delivery service that delivered the products to you (DHL).  You are responsible for the package/products until they are received by Made by Gotland.  We also recommend keeping the receipt from the courier and if applicable the track and trace number

Made by Gotland must receive the goods within 30 working days of the date you received the parcel

The cost of sending it back will you as customer take care of, as long as we haven’t done any mistake while sending your order.


When we receive the product(s), we will check them and you will be refunded the amount you paid to us upon purchase, including the original delivery fee.  The amount is always transferred to the same payment method used for the purchase.

You may lose your purchase amount, in whole or in part.  This happens if the product is impaired or damaged because:
·    you have used the products
·    the products were damaged while you were responsible for them
·    you have not followed the restrictions of the cancellation rights outlined above

Made by Gotland will refund the amount paid for the products without undue delay, and no later than 14 days from the date Made by Gotland received the customer notification of the cancellation.  However, Made by Gotland may delay the repayment until we have received the product or the customer has provided proof that the product has been returned (eg certificate of delivery).

Delivery Partners: DHL

Returned products may be shipped by the package delivery company DHL, as advised by Made by Gotland, using the procedures outlined in the Made by Gotland Help Topics. If you use DHL, Made by Gotland will pay the shipping costs in case of defective items and to track the package at any time.
If you decide to use a different package delivery company, any costs for shipping the products will be charged to you, and you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the products.


Your purchase is covered by the Sale of Goods Act, including rules regarding defects. This means that you can either have a faulty product repaired or replaced, or receive a full refund in price, depending on the specific situation.

Any consumer who wishes to assert their right to file a complaint for any product ordered shall contact Made by Gotland Customer Services, as soon as possible after discovering the defect.  We recommend that you claim as soon as possible within 2 months of the defect being discovered.

So that we can assess your claim, we ask you the following:
·      Contact Made by Gotland Customer Services at [email protected]
·      Send us a brief description of what the damage or defect is/how it occurred, as soon as you discover the defect
·      Include a description of the defect with 4-6 photographs.  The defect must be clear, and one must include a photograph of the entire product as well as the defective portion
·      Indicate the order number, or attach a copy of the order receipt
·      After we receive your photographs, we will handle your claim as soon as possible
If you are returning faulty product(s), Made by Gotland will arrange for the collection of the package, and incur the costs associated with shipping.

If the claim is justified, we will refund reasonable shipping costs incurred when sending the item back to us. Otherwise you must bear all costs of transport, including our shipping costs for returning the item after the investigation.
The item must always be well packaged and you must retain proof of postage.  You are responsible for the package until it is received by Made by Gotland, so keep the postal receipt including information on the shipping costs and if applicable the track and trace number.

Personal Information

To shop at Made by Gotland you must give the following minimal information:

·      Address
·      Email Address
·      Telephone number

Force Majeure

Made by Gotland shall be exempt from liability for damages and other penalties on the performance of the contract prevented, hindered or delayed by circumstances beyond our control.  The release factors to be considered include government intervention, new/amended legislation, lack of state, fire, flood, labour disturbance, prohibitions, restrictions, acts of war, terrorist attacks, sabotage, poor transport, poor weather conditions, lack of delivery from suppliers, and the company being exposed to criminal activity that affects business activities.

Governing Law

These General Terms and Conditions of Use are governed by Swedish law.  Any disputes are decided by the ordinary Swedish courts.
