Skulpturfabriken

Stina Lindholm, sculptor & designer

Three dimensional shapes to hug and touch.

“Living on an island gives you limitations, that can create opportunities,” says Lindholm.

She primarily works in concrete, which she combines with other materials to create functional shapes for homes and gardens. They are decorative, home styling details and garden designs for both public and private environments.

“Gotland has the best soil for my creativity. I like working with things I can touch and hug. Every product I make must be animated in some way.”

Her inspiration often comes from grey Gotland. Not just the nature, but also the industry and buildings. Shapes are plucked out of their context and assembled into something separate.

“My favourite place is at home on my farm, at Skulpturfabriken. Here, I’m at peace, although I love to go on outings and be seduced”
Made By Gotland feels self-evident. Everything I do, what I work with is already made by Gotland. Yet again, this collection shows that there is so much that is so honest and good here on the island.”
