Gotland Garbage

Plastic craft workshop

Plastic is a fantastic material. It doesn’t rust or mold, it lasts a long time and can be used for numerous products.
At present, there are incredible amounts of plastic on our planet and new products are constantly being manufactured.

We need to reduce our use of primarily disposable plastic items but at the same time recycle the plastic that already exists. In fact, less than 10% of all recyclable plastics is recycled. Consequently, plastic garbage easily ends up in the trash, out in nature or in the sea where it can destroy both for animals and humans.

Instead of letting plastic garbage destroy our world, we can help give plastic he eternal life it deserves.

Gotland Garbage takes care of Gotland’s disposed plastic and makes new products from it.
All products from Gotland Garbage comes from old plastic garbage and the karma cups are made from old packaging that used to be food.

Everything can be recycled and become something new, again and again and again.
Behind each new product is an extensive work where several time-consuming steps are required –
Collecting and cleaning the plastic, shredding it, melting, and transforming it into something new.

Gotland Garbage is the only craft workshop on the island that recycles plastic waste in this way.
